Bob’s Weaver Models injection molded cars and locomotives were game-changers for 2-Rail O Scale.  Atlas had started making plastic locomotives and cars in the early 70’s and Bob’s company added more variety with cars and later locomotives.  When Bob’s models entered the market, their models had superior detail than other existing  suppliers.  Weaver’s simple kits had a big impact and helped 2-Rail O Scale grow.  They were also popular with 3-Rail Scale modelers.  Bob’s company sold over 100,000 cars and there are still many, many Weaver Models products on both 2-Rail and 3-Rail O Scale layouts to this day.
