In addition to being a charter member of O Scale Central (#9), I am a life member of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA), Mid-Eastern Region (MER) and Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad Museum (Society of the Iron Horse) and an annual member of the B&O Railroad Historical Society and the National Railway Historical Society.
I principally model an operations-oriented urban industrial railroad loosely based on the B&O’s Alexandria Subdivision in the late 1950s. The OS2R layout is point-to-point built along the walls of a 16 x 20 foot space with a nod-under. There is an 8 foot extension for staging.
For a complete change of pace, in the last few years, I have added an On30 layout inspired by the Ohio River & Western in the early 1910s. This is a loop-to-loop layout built 18 inches under the OS2R layout. More information about my adventures in model railroading is available at https://2inoscaledc.potomac-nmra.org/index.html.
