We work toward that goal in a number of ways, including through our informative website (OScaleCentral.com), the OSC Coupler (our quarterly Journal), and the Drawbar (our monthly Newsletter).”

We also reach out through O Scale Central Online, our monthly, Sunday afternoon Zoom program of layout tours, clinics, news and interviews with OS2R newsmakers. OSC Online keeps OS2R Modelers informed, entertained and educated. OSC Members receive advance special invitations to the Online program; and courtesy of Dan Dawdy of The O Scale Resource Magazine , we send invitations to the entire OS2R community as a service to the Scale. You do not have to be an OSC Member to tune into OSC Online, so tell your non-Member friends about the Program (and encourage them to join!). Zoom links are included; the programs are free. In a world where online content is constantly flying at you, competing for your attention, we think the OSC Online programs are worth your time.

Our December headliner will be Tony Koester, who has always been a closet (and sometimes not so closet) O Scaler. Tony usually carries the flag for Nickel Plate Road, but he has a new, Proto-48 layout under construction which models the famous Wabash branch line where the two ancient moguls survived because of a bridge too light to take more modern power. Tony will lay out his project with a PowerPoint presentation. Other elements of the program are still taking shape, but rest assured they will keep OSC members informed and entertained.  

This will also announce the dates of the OSC programs for the first half of 2026; All are Sundays, to kick off at 4:00 p.m. eastern time. Sunday, January 18th; February 22nd; March 15th; April 19th; May 17th; and June 14th. Dates will be posted on Coming Events on the OSC Website OscaleCentral.com.

For the rest of 2025, the dates for O Scale Central Online are December 14, 2025. All programs will take place on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time. If you miss a program, they are recorded and, after editing, are posted on YouTube on our channel (accessible through the OSC Website: OScaleCentral.com).
